Cute book I bought for my super hero loving great grandson who sometimes has bad days just like superheroes。

A picture book about anger management。
Emily,
I love that this book is about how to deal with negative emotions。 It was one thing for a child to know how they feel, but they need to learn to deal and cope with their emotions also。 Sometimes little boy's emotion process is over looked because by society they are meant to 'be tough' and 'boys don't cry'。 By this book being themed super heros, boys are able to relate more。 When little kids bottle up their emotions, especially bad ones it can cause bad or 'villain' like behavior。 Do superheros I love that this book is about how to deal with negative emotions。 It was one thing for a child to know how they feel, but they need to learn to deal and cope with their emotions also。 Sometimes little boy's emotion process is over looked because by society they are meant to 'be tough' and 'boys don't cry'。 By this book being themed super heros, boys are able to relate more。 When little kids bottle up their emotions, especially bad ones it can cause bad or 'villain' like behavior。 Do superheros get angry and have bad days? yes。 Do they hurt people? No, even though they could。 They take their frustration and use it as motivation for helping others by good deeds。 I would read this book to any child that may have a hard time at displacing their anger。 。。。more
Gabrielle Stoller,
I used this book in my virtual storytime for October's My First Books。 This was a book where it encourages children that acknowledging their emotions is a good thing。 That they can be channeled to do good like a superhero。 I really appreciated that readers are given a choice。。。。do good or do bad with those bad day feelings。 I used this book in my virtual storytime for October's My First Books。 This was a book where it encourages children that acknowledging their emotions is a good thing。 That they can be channeled to do good like a superhero。 I really appreciated that readers are given a choice。。。。do good or do bad with those bad day feelings。 。。。more
Natalie,
Superheroes have bad days too and they CAN tantrum, they CAN cause a scene, but they don't。I loved how this book uses superheroes to show how even they are tempted to act out badly when they feel like it, but they DON'T。 They can choose to not act out in anger。 Would highly recommend this for little ones who have a hard time with self control and anger management。 Superheroes have bad days too and they CAN tantrum, they CAN cause a scene, but they don't。I loved how this book uses superheroes to show how even they are tempted to act out badly when they feel like it, but they DON'T。 They can choose to not act out in anger。 Would highly recommend this for little ones who have a hard time with self control and anger management。 。。。more

My superhero-loving-toddler with big emotions will love this book!
Alyssa,
This book lacks natural storytelling elements。 Instead it uses hypotheticals of superheroes being destructive and mean that go way over my son's head。 Must be meant for an older audience。For my 4 year old, this is a very confusing book, and I don't think it's appropriate for his age group。 The first third of the book is showing hypothetically what bad things super heroes could do。 Hypotheticals go way above his age group。 So he's left thinking that when super heroes are mad, they do really bad t This book lacks natural storytelling elements。 Instead it uses hypotheticals of superheroes being destructive and mean that go way over my son's head。 Must be meant for an older audience。For my 4 year old, this is a very confusing book, and I don't think it's appropriate for his age group。 The first third of the book is showing hypothetically what bad things super heroes could do。 Hypotheticals go way above his age group。 So he's left thinking that when super heroes are mad, they do really bad things, until they calm down。 Then they revisit the hypotheticals again。 After the hypotheticals, they do try to say stuff like: super heroes could do bad things, but they choose to do good things instead。 But for us, it was too little, too late。I think a story where a hero learns from his mistakes would've been better than giving a hypothetical that lacks obvious narrative requirements like reasons for doing bad things, reasons they realize it's bad, or consequences for their actions。 It's way too abstract for a 4 year old reader。 。。。more
Dallin Christensen,
A great book for the toddler who is still learning how to handle sad/mad/bad feelings。 A great reminder that even though we might FEEL like burning the world down around us with our superpowers, it's better to find positive ways to channel those emotions。 A great book for the toddler who is still learning how to handle sad/mad/bad feelings。 A great reminder that even though we might FEEL like burning the world down around us with our superpowers, it's better to find positive ways to channel those emotions。 。。。more

Absolutely wonderful。 Clever rhyming。 Stunning illustrations。 Teaches about emotions and coping skills in a way completely accessible to young children。

Cute concept, good rhymes, good meter。 Fun idea that superheroes sometimes don't want to do the right thing, but they do anyway。 It's a good message。 Cute concept, good rhymes, good meter。 Fun idea that superheroes sometimes don't want to do the right thing, but they do anyway。 It's a good message。 。。。more
Jennifer,
A super creative picture book for ages 4-7 about the choices that superheroes make every day and how the could use their powers for good or evil。 This book stresses that not responding in anger is important even when we’re angry and also that with great power does come great responsibility。 The illustrations are quirky and funny and make subtle references to Marvel and DC characters, like Typhoon for Storm or Icky Sticky for Spider-Man。
Aj Fried,
This book is funerary to deal with emotion regulation。 Such as acknowledging their feelings—rather than going on a rampage 😉
Haylee Baldwin,
This is one of my favorites that I have read so far。 It can be incorporated in a preschool- 4th grade classroom。 It takes the student on an rhyming adventure with super heroes to show them that everyone has bad days but you don’t have to handle it in bad ways! I would do a read aloud and add an activity where the students tell me one thing they can do when they are having a bad day and one thing they should not do。 Then have them discuss these answers with each other。 Great read!
Caitlin Kramer,
Fun illustrations and an encouraging message that even our heros have big feelings。 It's okay and good to acknowledge them, feel them, channel them。 It's important to know that what we do with them matters and impacts the world around us。 Fun illustrations and an encouraging message that even our heros have big feelings。 It's okay and good to acknowledge them, feel them, channel them。 It's important to know that what we do with them matters and impacts the world around us。 。。。more
Merricat Alexander Edwards,
This was a really cute book, I enjoyed the audio version (maybe I’m biased to listen to an audio book about superhero’s read by my favorite Captain America) it was perfect to me to help kids realize it’s okay to have bad days。
Andrew Ostrander,
This book is one that encourages students to not only acknowledge their feelings and emotions but empowers them。 Through its discussion of emotions, students can realize that it is truly okay to have the emotions that they are having, which is imperative for them to learn。 I know the importance of this because this was something that would have benefitted me as a student。

Ame,
Cute book on handling sour moods
Abigail Hix,
I really like this book。 This is a great book to read to show children that everyone has emotions and have bad days。 It also shows them that it is okay to have emotions but they need to be able to control their actions because they can ave consequences。 There is a lot that can be taught with this book。
Elizabeth,
This is a playful social/emotional book that's perfect for elementary students。 It's a great book that addresses choices in a colorful, over the top way。 The illustrations are so fun and reassures readers that everyone, even superheroes, have not so great days!! What happens when Superheroes don't get their way? With engaging rhymes and powerful illustrations, this fantasy book gives kids great examples of how to handle their strong feelings。 It would be a great read aloud for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade。As I read this book, it inspired many different classroom ideas。 Currently in Kindergarten we are working hard on recognizing rhyme and rhyme production。 Since there are rhymes on every page, this would be a great way to practice recogniz What happens when Superheroes don't get their way? This story shows students how Superheroes want to act when they are upset, and also the good choices they make instead。 Teachers could talk about examples and non-examples of how to handle having a bad day。This is a WOW book for me because I love how it shows kids that they can choose to let their emotions get the best of them, or find ways to turn it into something positive。 The illustrations in this book are amazing! Young kids will want to read this book over and over。 I will definitely be sharing this book with my students soon! 。。。more
Sarah Choate,
Fun, rhyming superhero read that talks about how superheroes choose to do good even when they’re upset。 I especially like the page showing the superheroes meditating。 This is a great book to introduce the idea of mindfulness and letting yourself feel your emotions but not letting them control you。

Cute book with rhyming text on dealing with bad days/anger/sadness。Like how it has you picturing all the destruction superheroes COULD cause when they feel bad。。。。 Gives alternatives。 Absolutely love how it says you can be sad or down but then you pick yourself up and go on。

PoetryAny Grade (K-6): Social StoryI liked how this book created fun rhymes to talk about what you could do when you get sad, upset, mad, and how you can channel that energy to create something wonderful。 I appreciate how the setting is contemporary and that the author uses super heroes (something many children are acquainted with) to illustrate how to handle negative emotions。 I would use it for a whole class book if I taught lower level elementary or maybe just "recommend" a student read it in PoetryAny Grade (K-6): Social StoryI liked how this book created fun rhymes to talk about what you could do when you get sad, upset, mad, and how you can channel that energy to create something wonderful。 I appreciate how the setting is contemporary and that the author uses super heroes (something many children are acquainted with) to illustrate how to handle negative emotions。 I would use it for a whole class book if I taught lower level elementary or maybe just "recommend" a student read it in the upper level and then talk about it with them - as to ensure they don't feel they are being read down to。 I think the rhyme pattern is enjoyable when reading and I rarely get the opportunity to make super hero voices in an academic setting。 。。。more

Learning to control emotions and try to be your best。 I’m sure kids will respond will to the superheroes, although this book doesn’t offer many coping strategies。
